Linda Ginger

Linda has 12 years experience in the Building & Construction industry and 3.5 years in the brick industry. She joined The Clay Brick and Paver Institute in early 2006, from James Hardie’s Building Products Division where she was General Manager, Brand Communications for Australia and New Zealand. Linda is responsible for marketing and advocacy on behalf of the nation’s largest brick manufacturers through Think Brick Australia – the industry’s new brand, which she was instrumental in developing.

Linda’s area of expertise is marketing and her design philosophy is “Think simple, think smart”. Her major professional achievements include Brand and communications strategy development for the Clay Brick & Paver Institute, creation and launch of an Architectural awards program, Facing Design magazine, and setting up an interactive marketing platform and associated programs.

Geoff Noble

Geoff Noble is the General Manager and a Director of the Australian Brick & Blocklaying Training Foundation Ltd (ABBTF).

After gaining tertiary qualifications in commerce and finance, Geoff spent 26 years in the brick industry in a variety of roles including the position of General Manager – Victoria with Nubrik.  He left the industry in 1999 and joined a commercial contract painting company as State Manager.  In 2002 he wrote a business plan to address the skill shortage in bricklaying for the Victorian Brick & Blocklaying Training Foundation and managed its implementation in 2003.  Geoff then completed a business plan to create the national body, the Australian Brick and Blocklaying Training Foundation in 2006 and as General Manager has implemented the plan to all states and the ACT.

Paul Lawrence

Paul Lawrence has extensive and varied experience in the building and construction industry over the past 20 years as a carpenter, builder, developer, building consultant and more recently as Manager – Training, Strategic Projects and Technical Services for the Master Builders Association of NSW.

Shane Norton

A bricklayer for more than 30 years, Shane currently works in partnership with his wife Rese, in their business Elvis & Rose.

For the last 12 years Shane has predominately worked on small scale residential and landscape projects in a collaborative manner with architects. Working one-on-one with architects has seen him involved in a range of projects that have used brick in new and innovative ways.

Shane was honoured to be part of the Think Brick Masterclass selection committee, as he feels it is important to inspire young bricklayers to bring new and individual thinking to the built environment.

Elvis & Rose were also part of the winning team behind the Horbury Hunt Award, C500, in the residential category.
